Taking omega 3 fatty acids, DHA and EPA in particular, has been shown in numerous clinical studies to decrease the irritation and discomfort of dry eyes. These omega 3 fatty acids may be obtained by taking fish oil supplements or by eating cold water fish such as tuna or salmon.

One of the most important things you can do if you suffer from dry eyes and eye twitching is to take frequent breaks from reading or using the computer and instill artificial tears frequently throughout the day in order to help lubricate your eyes and help them recover from eye strain which will ultimately help in reducing eye twitching.
